Words may capture the names of things, emotions and even the sights, sounds and flavours that surround us. Words give us a way of sharing experiences with others. For whisky lovers like us, the words in the Tasting Notes in each month’s Outturn provide a guide to what our expert SMWS Tasting Panel believes are the flavours in each whisky. Fabulous stuff, but, sometimes… maybe we could do better … or differently with an Aussie twist. Here’s your chance.
So it’s over to you – release your inner poet! Bring your nose, bring your palate, your sense of fun and prepare to be creative. Unleash your whisky flair to create our own South Australian tasting notes and encourage others to uncover the special characteristics of SMWS whiskies. Take up the challenge, take up your pen and feel free to bring some friends to share the fun on this informal evening. We’ll bring the inspirational drams and provide delicious food at our Partner Bar, the Rob Roy.
