Description
What we noted first was the sweetness of marshmallows, vanilla custard and melted Drumstick lollies – raspberry and milk flavoured, before zesty kaffir lime juice and freshly drought pilsner were being served. Big, mouth-coating and warming, as we found blood and bergamot oranges intriguingly entwined with flavours of juniper, liquorice and cinnamon. The addition of water barely changed the aroma but then we discovered that pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather called petrichor. On the palate, we enjoyed a refreshing kaffir lime and matcha gimlet.
