When it comes to whisky dinners and the art of matching food to whisky, there is only one person to turn to: Franz Scheurer.
The guru who defined and wrote the book on food and whisky matching and has been behind Australia’s most legendary whisky dinners for the last 15 years returns to team up with the Society once more.
“The Maestro Returns” will see Franz work and collaborate with Brent Savage and his chefs from the entire Bentley Group – that’s Bentley Restaurant & Bar, Cirrus Dining, Monopole and Yellow – and prepare a five-course menu with each dish brilliantly matched to a unique Society whisky. Franz works on the principle of 1 + 1 = 3, meaning that the food will add something to the whisky, and the whisky will add something to the food. It’s the culinary experience of something being greater than the sum of its parts, and members who’ve enjoyed our Society Whisky Dinners with Franz in the past (e.g. with Tetsuya, Neil Perry, Darren Robertson, Alessandro Pavoni, etc.) should move quickly – we have space for 25 diners only.
