I tweeted earlier today that whisky isn’t just the barley, water, yeast. It’s the cask, it’s the time, but most importantly, it’s the people that make it and work tirelessly in every aspect of this trade that makes me love it so much.
As Andrew Derbidge, our Cellarmaster recently said in my interview of his story, the people who work in it and run the tours, run the bars, and drive excitement and advocacy of great spirit, we applaud you. Yesterday we ran our SMWS Vaults pop-up bar in Perth, met lots of great members and new members, poured lots of drams, had lots of laughs.
